My first and second practices. I haven’t done cross stitch in a long time, so I drew a grid and practiced getting the stitches right. Then I practiced using just the linen as a guide. |
2nd and 3rd attempts, practice at a smaller grid. |
My fourth attempt – made it larger, but didn’t really like how open it looked with the single thread. And decided against having the green stitches inside the cross. |
Fifth attempt – I like the cross on the left, but working the “flower” on the right with just pink and white made me nearly go cross-eyed. It was very difficult and I decided to add some contrast. |
